Lewis & Callum from DJ Fire crushed the Celebration of Life event for my close friend Bryce Olson this past Sunday night at The Meadow space at McMenamin’s Edgefield. It was an extremely complex 3-hour event with 16 different videos, multiple Spotify playlists, and 21 different speakers over the course of 3 hours. All of that went off without a hitch from an AV perspective—because DJ Fire was professional, prepared, collaborative, responsive, and solution oriented. I’d recommend them to anyone from an Event Production standpoint—not to mention the DJ dance party that ensued afterwards! This is a 1st-Class DJ service! I hired Fire Djs to provide great music for my 25th Wedding Anniversary Celebration in August 2023. Lewis, the owner, was very attentive to my American & Vietnamese music selections. I can’t say enough great things about this company! From day one communication with Lewis was fantastic. He was always available to address any questions I had leading up to event. Day of, Troy Grisa was our DJ and was spectacular. He was a joy to work with, had tons of energy, super professional, had the kids and adults on the dance floor all evening and he put on quite the show with his amazing juggling and fireball act. We celebrated our bday in the Space Needle with a 70s glam dance off party and are glad we picked Lewis and the DJ Fire team for our event. Lewis was super responsive and accommodating during the time we planned the event, not only on finding right music choices, but also on lighting and entertainment options. We ended up renting the photo booth which was a hit and the uplights helped us creating a great disco vibe. Musically a full hit, the crowd was dancing the whole night, Lewis read the vibe well at all times. Thanks for helping to make our party epic!
We had an absolutely incredible time with these guys. We worked with Dominic and Matt on the day of our wedding, and they were just great. Super nice and professional, mixed through our playlists really smoothly, and made announcements to keep us on schedule. We had custom tracks made for our wedding processional, and Dominic was sure to double check that everything was perfect before the ceremony. A major highlight of the night was a guest set from Luxo, who absolutely killed it!! Our guests were talking about it all night. We were super excited that they were able to invite him out after finding out how into dance music we are. Dominic picked right up afterwards and kept people on the dance floor til late into the night. Later I found out he recorded the set as an extra wedding gift! Something I really appreciated was all the effort they put into the lighting. We were at Horning’s Hideout, an outdoor venue with lots of trees. They placed lights all over the lawn and pavilion, pointed up into the leaves of the trees, and it just looked incredible once the sun had set. Walking back to the dance floor felt like I was walking up to one of the wooded stages at some festival. Fire DJs made our wedding day what it was. Thank you!!
My wife and I couldn’t be happier with our decision to hire The Fire DJs for our wedding. They were professional and organized from start to finish. Lewis was our main contact throughout and was present for most of our wedding and Danny was our DJ for the reception. We made the mistake of not hiring a Day Of Coordinator and Lewis really stepped up and helped us out way more than I would have expected. He checked in with us regularly and adjusted the schedule as needed to keep things flowing. The EQ and volume were perfect and everything from the mic’d ceremony, to the speeches and the music sounded great. The music was well balanced and loud enough to enjoy, but not loud enough to drown out conversation in the dinner space right next to the dance floor at our outdoor venue. It is clear that these guys are professionals. We were asked to provide playlists for the cocktail hour, dinner and reception and they did a fantastic job of using the provided playlists as guides. They played the music that we asked for, mixed in a lot of music that fit in well with our playlists and they were always up for requests. On top of all of this, both Lewis and Danny privided really positive energies. They were polite, fun to talk to and always had smiles on their faces. If I ever happen to have an event that requires a DJ in the future, I’ll hire them again in a heartbeat.
We hired DJ Joe Valentine for our daughter’s Communion Party. He was a pleasure to work with. We had so many people comment about how awesome the DJ was and how he really has a talent for keeping the kids entertained. In fact, it has only been a week since the party and 2 people already reached out asking for his information. We hired Lewis to DJ at our Mt. Hood Skibowl wedding. It’s a tricky venue logistically as the ceremony area is up the mountain and the reception is below. We had Lewis play music before the ceremony as guests arrived, and he brought his own equipment to mic my sister and her partner on vocals/guitar during the ceremony, as well as our officiant. The sound quality was excellent and the ceremony went very smoothly despite a lot of moving parts. Lewis arrived hours early to set up the reception area first, and then set up for the ceremony on the mountain. During the pre-ceremony music, he followed a playlist I shared with him and made sure to play the specific songs I wanted played up at the top of the mountain. He was extremely organized, had a printed timeline which he referenced throughout the day, and worked extremely well with our other vendors. There were a few last-minute adjustments we made to the timeline throughout the night and Lewis went with the flow and did a great job letting guests know what to expect and transitioning them from one event to the next. Lewis has a kind and casual style with MC’ing that made us and our guests feel at ease. When it came to the dancing portion of the night, Lewis really shined. He had our guests on the dance floor the entire 3 hours we had budgeted for dancing. If he played a song that didn’t land right away with guests, within 10 seconds he faded it out and seamlessly transitioned to a new song. So many guests came up to us during and following the wedding, raving about Lewis. Everyone at our wedding loved him! He was open to song requests from guests and was overall just a lovely person to have as part of our day. It was also clear that he was having a great time DJing and enjoying himself – which really added to the overall vibe of the wedding.
Pre-wedding, Lewis first met with us on the phone and then later in person about a month before the wedding to go over our entire timeline for the night. He had great advice and even helped us make some decisions about song choices that we were unsure of.
We can’t say enough great things about Lewis and the Fire DJs, and are recommending them to all of our friends getting married in the area. He made everything about our wedding music and facilitation effortless. Just go ahead and book them!
Saw them at the Shanghai tunnel bar last weekend and they were great! Awesome setup with some dope lights and a fog machine to really make the lasers pop. All the artist did a wonderful job and played music you couldn’t stop dancing to. 100% looking forward to seeing them again!

We hired Lewis as the DJ for our daughter’s wedding. He did such a good job pivoting at the last minute with the rain! The songs for a canoe journey across the lake in the rain were perfect volume. And the dancing and song choices kept everyone on the dance floor! He even stayed 20 minutes extra when the shuttles to take guests back to the hotel were late! He worked really well with my daughter and her husband prior to the event with the various song lists for each part of the ceremony as well as the dinner and reception. I would hire him again.

By far the greatest DJ we could have hired for our wedding. Ours dropped out a couple months before the wedding and we had to quickly find a replacement and we were so beyond thrilled with how Lewis and Fire DJs performed at our wedding. Lewis shows up early for setup and is very particular to make sure everything is “just right.” He listens carefully to expectations (setup, behavior, hislanguage/tone, choice of music) and is incredibly respectful both in terms of the school’s culture and the concerns of the chaperones/administration. After every event, I can count on a group of kids approaching me to make sure Lewis will DJ the next dance. And on top of it all, Lewis van Diggelen is a really nice, big-hearted young man. Lewis was a great DJ for my school. He arrived early and was professional throughout. His pricing was excellent. He was very energetic, and got the students dancing. Overall, he was a strong DJ and we’ll most likely ask him to DJ again.
